I work in an interdisciplinary way weaving together many different topics ranging from architecture to science to advertising to sculpture. As both a visual artist and a licensed architect in California, I am interested in creating work that studies the relationship between people and their surroundings. I live and work in San Francisco amidst the glorious achievements and excessive wastefulness of this contemporary city. For me, urban life seems to magnify the social and environmental conflicts that are confronting our culture. I am fascinated by how humans adapt, build, destroy, decorate, and cultivate their surroundings and the impact this has on the global environment. The rapid pace at which people are changing the world both excites and disturbs me.
